Written by Opera House | 02.19.2025

Spend the day enjoying a classic American pastime. Watch the 27-time World Series champions, the New York Yankees play at the stadium. Visiting the stadium is more than a sporting event; it is an entire experience. There’s plenty to explore, see, and do during your day at the ballpark. So, purchase your tickets, sign up for a Yankee Stadium tour, and book a room at the Opera House Hotel for your baseball adventure.

Monument Park

The original Monument Park dates back to the first stadium in 1932. It features a collection of plaques, monuments, and retired numbers to honor Yankee legends. You can visit the park from the gates opening until 45 minutes before the game starts. There are six granite monuments, 22 retired numbers, and 37 honored organization members honored in the park.

Yankees Museum

As one of the nation's most-loved baseball teams, it has a rich history that people want to celebrate. They can do so during a Yankee Stadium tour by visiting the on-site Yankee Museum. There are four permanent exhibits: the Baseball Wall, World Series trophies, World Series rings, and Thurman Munson’s locker. There are also three featured exhibits: one dedicated to Derek Jeter, one to the team’s legendary home runs, and one to the history of Yankee Stadium.

Luxury Suites

The Yankee Stadium seating chart shows there are plenty of seats to choose from. But if you want a memorable experience, purchase tickets for one of the luxury suites. Yankee Stadium's capacity is over 50,000. There are only 56 luxury suits, making it an exclusive experience. Each suite can accommodate 16-34 guests. Your suite experience includes a private viewing space, food and beverage offerings, two reserved parking spaces, and a complimentary scoreboard message. Each suite creates an enhanced viewing experience with a climate-controlled interior space and cushioned seating.

Great Hall

On game days, the Great Hall is a grand gathering place that fans go through as they find their seats. It’s decorated with oversized banners featuring Yankee legends. While large arched windows allow for plenty of natural light to stream through.

Know Before You Go

If you plan to visit the stadium, there are a few things you need to know. Yankee Stadium parking is not owned or managed by the stadium, as it is nearby city public parking. Instead, you can use public transportation, including the subway, bus, or train. You must follow the Yankee Stadium bag policy. It needs to be an MLB-compliant soft-sided bag smaller than 16 x 16 x 8 inches. To enter the stadium, you can do so at Gates 2,4, 6, or 8. If you have CLEAR, you can enjoy expedited entry by heading to Babe Ruth Plaza near Gate 4. Once inside, enjoy plentiful dining options thanks to an impressive Yankee stadium food program.
